We are able to tell the family “Take what you want from the house, and we will take care of everything else.” If you are busy caring for an aging parent, life is much easier when you don’t have to spend your time taking care of “stuff” rather than your loved one. If the property is part of an estate, there is so much you need to take care of to settle the estate, in addition to running your normal life, and the help that we offer is invaluable. We keep as much as possible out of the landfills. This means that food goes to food banks, recyclable items go into a recycle bin, furniture gets sold,blankets for to per shelters, etc, etc.. We work closely with trusted clean-out specialists to make this happen. Sometimes the families receive money for the contents of the home, and sometimes they pay for the service. There is no charge for Lichtman Associates Real Estate to oversee the clean-out, and the financial arrangement between the family and the clean out service does not involve us.
